One wonders how many American and South Vietnamese soldiers were killed as a direct result of these ignorant losers offering aid and comfort to the enemy. The North Vietnamese leaders have acknowledged the morale boost that they got from this kind of activity. I hope these people are proud of the fact that they contributed to a communist take-over of South Vietnam. I hope they're proud of the blood bath that followed the communist victory. The MILLIONS of men women and children slaughtered because they, or their family collaborated with the "imperialists". And those who never worked with the Americans, but who were denounced by neighbors who harbored some grudge. And what of the untold numbers of innocents slaughtered in Cambodia by Pol Pot's regime which again, was a direct result of our pulling up stakes and leaving. Oh yes, be proud flower children! Be ever so proud of the blood on your hands. Here's a thought...Don't join a "movement" because you think it's cool, or popular. Instead take a close hard look at the facts. THINK about the consequences of your actions. Then if you still feel the same, write your congressman, and senators. Write the President. If there are enough of you who feel the same and make your feelings known in writing the politicians will bend to your will. And by not making a public spectacle you offer no aid and comfort to the enemy. You've the right to make your feelings known to your representatives, NOT the enemy.

An awesome show. It's actually reason enough to watch TV. And it's from HBO, which is bizarre considering the anti-American drivel they usually produce. McCullough's book has been moved up several spaces on my endless reading list.
